Description
Ecostrip 500 is an highly effective water-based paint stripper which is user friendly, non-toxic and biodegradable. It is safe for use on many metals including, steel and aluminium, as well as some plastics. NOT recommended for use on some metal alloys – may cause “pitting” or discolouration if there are impurities in the metal alloy.
Ecostrip 500 also offers very low VOC emissions, is non-ozone depleting and is not regulated for transport, storage or health an safety. It is safe for use on many metals including, steel and aluminium, as well as some plastics. However, some materials, including those containing magnesium or copper, and certain plastics, may be adversely affected. NOT recommended for use on all metal alloys – may cause “pitting” or discoloration if there are impurities in the metal alloy. Not suitable for magnesium alloy. It is recommended that prior testing is carried out on a small area to confirm suitability. Ecostrip500 is formulated for immersion operations including ultrasonic and eduction flow systems. It can be heated to a maximum of 40 degrees Celsius and highly effective at removing a wide range of coatings including urethanes, latex, lead paints, alkaloid paints, varnish and most twin pack and fusion epoxy coatings from various substrates. Ecostrip 500 breaks down coatings into paint skins, most coatings being lifted on a time scale of a few minutes to up to 5 hours, depending on paint type and thickness.
Warmer conditions are always considered best for using chemical removers.
